CSDA Zero Emission Vehicle Survey

By @Kyle Packham

Please take this short survey by August 18 and help CSDA better understand how the California Air Resources Board zero emission vehicle (ZEV) mandate will impact your district. CSDA is working with the Institute for Local Government, California State Association of Counties, and California League of Cities to survey our members on this very important regulation. In order for our organizations to look at next steps in helping make this transition, it is imperative we receive your feedback.

In late April 2023, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) approved its Advanced Clean Fleet (ACF) regulations, which require a phased-in transition toward zero-emission medium and heavy-duty vehicles.

State and local government fleets will generally be required to ensure 50 percent of vehicle purchases are zero-emission vehicles (ZEV) beginning in January 2024. That number increases to 100 percent of vehicle purchases by 2027. Small fleets (jurisdictions with 10 or fewer vehicles) and those in designated counties have a later deadline but must begin ZEV purchasing in 2027.

Fill out this short survey so we know how best to support you! Survey closes August 18
